The Caney Valley Trojans return to the football field this weekend after a bye week last week.

The Trojans currently sit at 0-2 with a loss to Barnsdall and a forfeit to Hulbert. Caney Valley had to cancel their game against Hulbert the following week due to not having enough players to safely play that game. Head coach Derrick Hammer talked about the approach during the bye week after having to cancel their last game.

The Trojans are preparing for a road test with Cleveland's junior varsity squad on Thursday night in Cleveland. A season ago, Caney Valley beat Cleveland's JV, 34-0, for their only win of the season.
