Postseason baseball has arrived for Dewey, as the Bulldoggers open regionals in Silo on Thursday.

Dewey heads into regionals grouped with Silo and Kansas.

Head coach Riley Allen says this is a very competitive regional.

Dewey finished the regular season 19-13 overall with a fifth place finish in 3A-7 after a 5-7 district record. They snapped a three-game losing streak with a win over Sequoyah (Tahlequah) to finish out the regular season last week.

Silo enters as a district champion and the regional host, after finishing a perfect 12-0 in district action. Silo is 23-5 on the season.

Allen says this Silo squad is typical from years past.

Dewey will open regionals on Thursday against Kansas first. Kansas finished fourth in their district with a 7-5 district record. Kansas finished the season 19-10 overall.

Allen says there's some familiarity with Kansas.

Dewey will play a doubleheader on Thursday in Silo. They'll start things off against Kansas at 11 a.m. before taking on Silo at 4 p.m.
