Postseason high school baseball is headed to Dewey this spring as the Bulldoggers are hosting their regional tournament.
Dewey finished second in their district with a 12-2 district record and a 25-7 overall record. The Bulldoggers have won eight of their last 10 games heading into the postseason.
Dewey hosts Westville, Beggs and Hugo in the regional tournament. The Bulldoggers beat Beggs on March 5 on the road, 13-1. Westville enters the postseason without a win, Hugo is 6-27 overall.
If the Bulldoggers win their regional, they will head to area for a best-of-three series with a chance to advance to the state tournament. Allen says his team needs to do what they've done all season to advance.
Dewey opens regionals against Westville at 11 a.m. on Thursday. If Dewey wins, they would play their winner's bracket game at 4 p.m. If they lose, they would play an elimination game at 6:30 p.m. Thursday morning's game can be heard on Sports Talk, 99.1 FM - KPGM.
