Bartlesville High slow pitch softball is headed back to the 6A State Tournament.

It is the third year in a row and the fifth softball State Tournament in row overall that BHS has qualified for.

It was not an easy day.

BHS lost its opening round game to Muskogee, 12-11. Bartlesville had rallied with eight runs in the top of the seventh inning, highlighted by a Lola Reddington grand slam, only to see Muskogee score two with two outs in the bottom half of the inning to win it.

Meanwhile Bartlesville had to rally to stay alive with a round two win over Sand Springs, 12-2.

BHS then smacked Muskogee 17-2 to take the winner-take-all title game and advance back to State once again.

The 6A State Tournament will be played on May 5, this coming Tuesday.
