Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball enters their final series of the season this weekend, and the Eagles lead the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.

OKWU is 41-6 overall and 28-5 in conference play. They hold a one game lead on Kansas Wesleyan for the top spot.

The Eagles and Kansas Wesleyan collided last weekend to create separation in the conference standings, in a three game series in Bartlesville. OKWU took game one on Thursday, 16-7, lost the front end of a doubleheader on Friday, 6-1, then clinched the series with a 10-6 win in the series finale.

Head coach Kirk Kelley says it was a big series.

The path for a conference championship won't be an easy one for the Eagles, Ottawa University is the final opponent.

Ottawa is third in the KCAC standings with a 25-8 conference record. The Braves are 37-10 overall and are winners of six straight, following a sweep over Bethany last weekend at home.

Kelley says they want to finish strong.

OKWU will be at home for the series. A series win in any fashion clinches a conference championship.

Friday is slated for a doubleheader, start times are set for 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Game three will be played on Saturday at 2 p.m. All games in the series will be played at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.
