OKWU Baseball Takes KCAC Conference Lead

Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball rolled on Thursday to take game one of their biggest conference series of the year.
It was the Eagles over Kansas Wesleyan, 16-7 at Silver Lake Field in Bartlesville.
Consistency has been the theme all season long for OKWU, the bats stayed hot all day for the Eagles. They scored at least a run in all but one inning. OKWU finished the day with 16 runs on 16 hits. The Eagles got in front 8-1 through three innings and did not look back.
Ravaughn Morgan led the way offensively. He went 5-6 at the plate with a home run, 4 runs scored and 4 RBI. Brenden Poindexter blasted two home runs in the win, he knocked in four runs.
OKWU is 40-5 with the win and 27-4 in conference play, and extends the win streak to 11 in a row. The win gives the Eagles a one game lead for first on Kansas Wesleyan, and it ends a 12-game KW win streak.
Oklahoma Wesleyan will have a chance to clinch the series and go for the sweep on Friday in a doubleheader from Silver Lake Field. Start times on Friday are 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
