OKWU Pitcher Named KCAC Pitcher of the Week

Oklahoma Wesleyan keeps the accolades coming as Jacob Morgan was named KCAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday for his performances on the mound last week.
The junior right-hander made two appearances last week with one start and excelled on the mound in both. OKWU rolled past Evangel on April 1, 11-2. Morgan made a relief appearance in that game, pitching three innings. He allowed one hit and struck out two.
The other appearance came as a start against Bethany on April 6. OKWU went on to win the game, 18-0. Morgan gave the Eagles five innings in his start. He allowed two hits, one walk and struck out five. The five innings was the furthest Morgan has gone in a start this season.
The honor for Morgan continues the positive trend for Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball. The Eagles are 34-5 overall, 21-4 in KCAC action, and have won five straight.
The Eagles are on the road to Evangel University on Tuesday in Springfield, Missouri. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
