Tug Baughn Passes

A member of the Bartlesville Sports Hall of Fame passed away on Monday morning.
Tug Baughn, who had a legacy of nearly 60 years in athletics passed away this week. Baughn was a member of the 2013 Bartlesville Sports Hall of Fame Class.
Baughn was a well known coach, official and softball player.
Baughn was 90.
Baughn officiated 17 high school football state championship games as well as 20 high school basketball state championship games. He also officiated at the collegiate level with numerous playoff and postseason contests.
He was the last coach to lead the Doenges Indians to the Oklahoma American Legion State title in 1978.
He is also a member of the Oklahoma Softball Hall of Fame.
He called Bartlesville his home for more than 60 years.
